When mum said, "Why don't you come back with me to Cyprus for a week, you'll get some sun," I wasn't quite expecting a heatwave. September in Northern Cyprus is usually sunny enough, but not unbearable. When we got off the plane not only were we greeted with the recent Middle Eastern Sandstorm but 39 degrees of irrepressible Celsius burning down on us. It's been like that pretty much all week, which I am more than happy about as I was feeling the need for a top-up tan.

My days here have been slow, relaxed mornings of swimming, reading and eating salads. I decided that to keep me occupied and because I can't stop, that I would film every day, a sort of daily vlog with my small but trusty Panasonix Lumix camera. The quality isn't brilliant but it has been a fun challenge to see if I can get nice shots, just using my skills with the camera, instead of relying on a great camera.
