Great Short Films To Watch | 2019

How can you learn to make a great short film? By watching great short films. The same way you must read well to write well, you have to constantly be watching award winning and current short films while you’re working on your own projects.

I spent some time looking through some award winning and notable short films from the past few years and I have chosen these four to suggest to you. I personally thought they were fantastic.

Furlong - A short film about an accident that occurs between two teenagers at a cliff jumping spot in the California desert.

The Silent Child - Inspired by real life events. The Silent Child film centres around a profoundly deaf four year old girl. (Check out my script breakdown for this film here)

Verde - An honest and intimate look into seemingly small -but never insignificant- moments in our childhood…

Caroline - When plans fall through, a six-year-old is faced with a big responsibility on a hot Texas day

What are some of your favourite short films recently? Leave them below and I’ll have a watch.
